Established in 1920, Ajloun Municipality has proudly served the city of Ajloun for over a century. Throughout its history, 21 presidents have led the municipality, some elected and others appointed by the government. The municipality’s reach extends over 40 km, from the Al-Safa area in the south to the Irbid Governorate border in the north. This vast area demands immense effort, financial resources, and human capital to provide even the most basic services to its residents. Ajloun’s rich heritage is further enhanced by the presence of tourist and archaeological sites, including the iconic Ajloun Castle.
