The municipality of Mafraq is located in the middle of the western side of Mafraq Governorate and on the borders of the Badia districts. It is considered the center of the Mafraq Kasbah District, and it consists of the communities of the city of Mafraq, Umm al-Na’am al-Sharqiya, Idun Bani Hassan, Thaghrat al-Jab, the population centers of Umm al-Na’am al-Gharbiyya, al-Ghadeer al-Abyad, Hayan al-Mushrif, Buwayda al-Hawamda, Tayyib Ism and Rajm Saba al-Shamali.
